The main activity of Grup Ros is the preparation and sale of top quality fresh and frozen fish within Spain and internationally. We take care of our customers and offer them a wide variety of products, the preparation of which begins at source using traditional methods.

HOW WE STARTED
The second generation, headed by Francisco Ros and his wife Núria Valls, expanded the business by selling wholesale, specifically to restaurants and fishmongers in the local area. They went on to found Pescados Ros, which became one of the leading distributors of fresh and frozen fish in the province of Girona.
The history of Grup Ros dates back to 1930, when its founders Salvador Ros and Clara Montells set up the first family-run company retailing fresh fish.
The third generation, led by Salvador Ros, Gemma Ros and Francisco Ros, transformed and expanded Pescados Ros from a family business into a new company called Comerç de Peix Ros.
The second and third generations also incorporated another company into the Group, which they called Frigoríficos Ros, currently Import/Export. Then, to optimize their delivery services they created Transports de Peix Ros, now called Logística.
In 2008, the Ros family created Freskibo, a new business project to help the end consumer by offering seafood-based products that are easy to prepare at home.
The Group Ros is a company compromised with the promotion, improvement and change of social, economic and environmental circumstances.
Our social view of CSR makes us include into our decisions, objectives such as the reduction of social inequality and the fight against hunger and the social isolation. Objectives accomplished through activities as the fair service and product development that enable an improvement of the labour conditions and permit the preservation of security, health and labour safety.
The environmental view, leads us to the incorporation of risk prevention techniques, the building of facilities that minimize environmental impact and initiatives of energy, gas and water saving. This is done with the objective of participating on the fight against climate change.
Finally, the economic view brings us to the respect and support of initiatives such as areas of closed season, egg lying cycles or betting for farmfish products. With the objective of dealing with the shortage of resources and the emergence of new needs from our consumer.

As our aim at Grup Ros is to offer top quality products, we have implemented stringent quality control systems that guarantee food quality and safety in all stages of the manufacturing process. We closely supervise each stage of the production system, from the raw material to the final product.
